Esther Broner writes: "Marcia Freedman, American-born member of the Israeli Knesset, or parliament, came with women's prayers. Naomi Nimrod, social worker, composed a prayer of Miriam driven mad by losing her role as a prophet. I wrote the questions of the four daughters instead of the traditional questions of the four sons. Robert and I both sat at the head of the table, each wearing a yarmulke, friends and neighbors surrounding us."
